Show Notes

Our guest is Kerby Confer, the Founding Partner/Owner of Forever Media.  Kerby who is a member of both the  Pennsylvania Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Country Radio Hall of Fame, talks to Rich & Paul about being a highly rated personality in the 1960's as a Baltimore radio DJ and host of the TV dance telecast, The Kerby Scott Show.  Both roles are connected to a few Hollywood blockbuster movies, "Play Misty for Me" and "Hairspray".

Kerby also rewinds the story about the time he was hired to emcee The Beatles during their only visit to Baltimore on September 13, 1964.  As Kerby moved into radio ownership, his belief in branding Radio Stations led him to invent "The Froggy" Country Radio format.    After a few  "pneumonic devices" later , "The Beaver" and "The Chicken" formats were created.

Kerby is invested in paving the way for new radio talent.  He talks proudly about his involvement in The National Radio Talent System and how the program is helping develop up and coming broadcasters.
